Games Played Data

Users of the Blueseum should note that all games played data utilised in player biography pages (and associated stats summary pages) are only for Carlton's senior games played in the League (VFL/AFL). These records do not include State games, Night/Pre season series games (1956 to today), Reserve games (1919-99), Under 19s (1946-91), Carlton VFL (2000-2), Carlton VFA (1877-96) (or Melbourne Rules ie anything pre-VFL), games with the Northern Bullants (from 2003), etc. Please note that games data for these other games can be located via any link above.

Of particular interest is the former practice of counting State Games played as senior games - often, particularly between 1971 and 1977, State Games (#) were held at the same time as Club games. On this basis, many of our players were (eg Nicholls) granted as playing a Club game in recognition of State service. This practice was reversed between 1973 and 1974 (and later by the League), and as such, games played data by some of your favourite players (listed below) may not match those of textbooks that you retain. We ask that you do not seek to change this data in the relevant pages.
