J. Urquhart is mentioned by original Carlton player/administrator Andy McHarg in a 1915 interview with the Sydney newspaper "The Referee" as one of the many hard workers of the club.

J. R. Urquhart announced at the AGM he will be retiring after being Carlton president for the past seven years.

There was an Alexander Urquhart who played with the Carlton Second Twenty 1885 - 1886, was he a relation?
Alex had a brother, a John Ross Urquhart born 1865 died 10 May 1948. (R of Ad)
