Game Review

In this, his farewell match against South Melbourne at Princes Park, one of Carlton's all-time greats in Ken Baxter kicked five goals to finish a great career in style. Six times our club's leading goal-kicker, and a triple Premiership player in 1938, 1945 and 1947, Baxter was inducted into Carlton's Hall of Fame in 1998.

On this cold and wet Saturday afternoon, the Blues finished a disappointing year - having fallen from second in 1949 - in 8th place on the ladder, with a lowly percentage of 93.3.
