Game Review

After a season hard-fought, the finals came early with this clash between the top two sides to decide the minor premiership. Melbourne were clearly the better team in the first half, and only Carlton's accuracy kept the Blues in it. The Demons improved their kicking after half-time, but Carlton eventually clicked into top gear and strode away to a comfortable win. Jack Wrout kicked 5 goals at centre half-forward for the Blues.

At the end of this round Carlton were in 1st spot on the ladder with a percentage of 120.3.
