Game Review
At last! The Blues clicked back into gear and won their first match of the season against Collingwood at Princes Park. Despite three changes to an unsettled line-up, the inclusion of Marchbank, Payne and Kennedy provided strength and experience. Coach Worrall had drilled the team intently during the week, and they were ready to go against the Magpies.Eight points up at quarter time, the Blues edged further in front as the game progressed and ran out winners by 17. Kennedy and Marchbank starred on their return, while Harvey Kelly provided a focal point up front throughout the game, and top-scored with two goals.
Carlton jumped to sixth after this win, outside the top four on percentage (88.0) only.
