Game Review

The Blues were pushed throughout by a plucky North.

Kangas rover Harold Somerville (career totals 6 games, 8 goals) booted 5 goals (including 4 consecutively early in the second quarter) to threaten a monumental upset, but Carlton steadied and regained the ascendency by half-time.

North refused to concede however and a titanic struggle ensued. The Blues eventually managed to eke out a 13 point win over the Shinboners.

Carlton maintained top position at 6-1 with a percentage of 155.2 after this match.
