Game Review
Footscray entered the match with 4 straight wins but were rebuffed early by a Carlton side desperate to salvage some hope of finals action. The Blues led by 17 points at quarter time and 16 at the half. The Bulldogs fought back to level the scores entering the last quarter and looked likely to snatch the game until Brian Walsh managed a late behind to ensure a draw.
Two points were welcome but insufficient considering the Blues dire situation.
