Boots

There is an on-line history of footwear manufacturing in Clifton Hill called "Boots and all in Clifton Hill."
Amongst the plethora of shoe makers, there was a company called Puttifoot and Bloom at 200 Noone Street which were around from about the 1890's to 1920's or perhaps even longer.
In the comments section a descendant of company founder William James Puttifoot mentions, as a young child, going with his grandfather to Princes Park to measure Carlton players' feet, so bespoke football boots could be made.
