The Webb family, parents Daniel and Anne (nee Timmins) arrived in Melbourne with four children on board the Rodney on 29 March 1858.
Michael was aged 10, William 9, Mary A (Marianne) 6, and Peter 1.

The first Carlton team that has been found was when Carlton played Melbourne Grammar on the Myall Ground (now the Alfred Hospital site)
Webb was named in this 27 man team squad.
1865 July 22
Webb is named in the Carlton 25 man squad to play the Warehousemen's club at St. Kilda Park.
1865 August 26
Webb was named in the Carlton squad of 25 that played the Warehousemen in Princes Park
His name appears on a team list for 1868.
1868 May 25 Monday
Carlton played Geelong at Royal Park.
The Australasian May 23 named Webb in an enlarged Carlton squad of 29 for the match.
1869 February 06
Death Notice
On the 3rd inst.at the residence of his parents, 53 Lonsdale-street west, Michael T. Webb, aged 22 years. R.I.P.

1893 May 25
George Bowen writing in the Melbourne Punch (p10) under the name "Olympus" mentions that late Mick Webb's orange and blue cap (Carlton's original colours) is in the hands of George H. Ievers' wife ( Marianne) who was Mick's sister.
Bowen also mentions that Webb had died many years ago.
1894 December 15
The Australasian's cricket writer "Felix" reminisces about the Carlton Cricket Club, and mentions that in the club rooms are old photos of the Football and Cricket teams. He speaks about a photo of a football team from the sixties and names many of the faces in the photo, one is an M. Webb.

1894 May 10
George F. Bowen (aka Olympus) writing in Punch (p16) about the death of W. 'Bill' Newing lists a number of old time Carlton footballers who have died and he mentions Mick Webb.
George F. Bowen a founding member of the club, writing for Table Talk (May 10) in 1906, wrote that as he was walking to Princes Park he was thinking of some of the old players of the club from the 1860's and mentions Mick Webb among other pioneer players.
